The property has a large garden and overlooks its own field edged by a stream and trees. All 5 gîtes have comfortable lounge areas with Freeview TV and videos, a separate dining area and fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave and fridge. A freezer is available. The largest gîte has 3 upstairs bedrooms with bath shower and toilet, with a further shower toilet and washbasin downstairs. The remaining gîtes have two upstairs bedrooms with full bathroom facilities either on the same floor or downstairs.The gîtes are equipped with picnic tables, loungers and barbecues, and guests may enjoy their own privacy or can join together with other families. Communal areas include a lean-to with pool table and washing machine, and an open barn with table tennis table. Long term lets are also available. The resident manager has renovated every room throughout in preparation for the 2008 season. All guests will be warmly welcomed and very well looked after by Maggie and Steve, who used to run B&B in England. Linen & towels are available free of charge.
Location and surrounding area.The gîtes are situated in the quiet hamlet of Kerdrean. 2 km away is the village of Cleguerec, a typical Brittany village with a range of shops, restaurants and banks. Kerdrean is on the edge of the extensive Quenecan Forest and only 7 km from the beautiful Lake Guerledan, which offers spectacular scenery, walks, swimming and other water sports.
There are many other walks in the area, such as along the towpath of the Canal de Nantes à Brest all the way to the Napoleonic town of Pontivy and beyond. Pontivy, the nearest town, offers many interests, including a castle, good shopping and a range of restaurants. |
